Seconding this question. I'm trying to do the exact same thing and haven't been able to find a good way to do so. Except apparently it's easy to do using C# implementations. This is from the help file of AD Explorer : To connect to a domain choose Connect from the File menu. You can connect to the default domain using the credentials of the account in which you're running by leaving all the fields blank. Sounds so easy!
