    Please, mark changes to the original IN the original... and include a note that the post has been updated, in the post. Do NOT delete/replace; use strikeouts.
      OK, agreed, I didn't know about it... but for this fix? I don't see how future readers would benefit.
        Look at it this way: your unannounced change made one of the early replies appear to be out in left field -- ie, no context and not to be responsive to your OP.
