What part of the answers you got to connect string for sybase prompted you to repost this question? Maybe it would have been better to just continue that thread instead of opening a new thread? If you don't know how to set environment variables on your OS, maybe consult your system administrator on how to configure the operating system.	[reply]

Not really an answer to your question, but merely a pointer: a very similar question was just asked in I am not able to install DBD::Sybase module using cpan on windows as well as Ubuntu; it may be worthwhile following replies on that node as well.	[reply]

thanks....I got the same error message.... `set the $SYBASE environment variable` [download] set it to what? 'SET $SYBASE=c:\sybase' ??	[reply] [d/l]

Set the environment variable to the path wherever you have installed (Sybase\|OpenClient) libraries & possibly the include\|header files also.	[reply]
