You can go on believing that I'm posting something I wrote in the past just to get more votes. There were 38 and 58 votes respectively on those two posts, so it is very, very likely everyone here who has read this thread has *already* voted on them, if they are to vote at all. I posted them so you can get a better understanding that my time here has not been spent trying to achieve better XP. Perlmonks is literally part of my life. I am here every single day when I am available, while at work (I don't even code Perl at work) and while I'm at home. The only time I don't have a tab open to Perlmonks to help others (and/or learn from others) is if I am not on a computer. I am also a very avid member of the community as a whole. I have two-dozen plus CPAN distributions, 82+ open source repositories across multiple languages, contributed to at least two dozen other Perl distributions, and am an active member on other sites, doing the same thing there as I do here, including many other programming languages and technologies. Perhaps if your attitude changes from "everyone is an XP whore and that's all they care about" to "what can I do to be a more productive member of Perlmonks, and/or the Perl community in general", you'd see things differently. I upvote when I see fit, and I very, very rarely downvote. For instance. I have not downvoted a single post in this thread, yours or otherwise. There's been no need; you aren't repeatedly pushing poor code on someone, you're just sharing your opinion, and that's fine. I don't agree with it, but each to their own. I hope you can get over this hurdle.
