Well i hope not to gain much weight but since my family and my girlfriends always get together to make up a big lunch for festivities I think it will hard!
But it will be better if ask after thanks giving
God help me always to see the other face of the coin. And prevent me from accusing of betrayal those who don't think just as I do.
I hope to be stable this year, last year i did gain a few lbs and january was a big traning program to lose them.
But here it is dificult to do that, cuz everything in this holydays is just delicious. :)

then they become true....
I don't know about gaining or loosing weight... but I think I have had enough varieties of turky dishes now to last me till next year. Problem is - there is still half the danged bird in the fridge! Agg!
hmm, it's very likely i'll be putting on more weight, but just as unlikely that it'll be from eating and/or getting fat - i've been doing alot of strength training lately, so i've (happily) went from 130lbs to around 138 over the last few weeks, and there's no signs of slowing down, either. ((:
something to note, too: increasing your exercise and activity level -before- you start chowing down on the holiday hams can help prevent the unwanted pounds at best, or at least keep the 'damage' to a minimum. not to mention, it'll probably make you feel better in the long run anyways. (8
OK, I have to consider all of the factors... All of the E-Commerce sites are frozen until the last week of December, so I'm on VACATION Bay-bee...Thus Snowboarding.
So we consider potential weight loss due to aerobic activity offset by muscle gain (muscle is heavier than fat) also offset by fat replaced with large quantities of beer turning to empty calories as I pass out at 8PM after boarding all day...
Offset by booting after waking up at 2AM with a throbbing hangover, modified by the 8 eggs for breakfast before hitting the slopes again.
On the off days we have food consumed whilst hacking on the laptop in longjohns...
Then calories burnt off by stress when the family calls & wants to know why you're not there for dinner.
Figure in said dinner skipped & replaced with Oreos & Hot Toddy...
Most people gain weight during the holiday season. Usually, I do too. But, this year, I found out my girl friend has been cheating on me. For some reason I lose weight after break-ups... So I am that small percent who will probably lose over 15 lbs this holiday season...
I'm going to gain 500 metric tonnes before Christmas eve. When I visit my family Christmas day I can sit on their house and flatten it. That way, they may not insist on me eating yet more turkey to 'fatten me up'. I know it's a long shot, but the message may just get through to them.
Ahhh... time to gain all the weight back that I lost when I left home (and mom's cooking). She always sends leftovers too!
