Hint nodethings
By: Ron Veenstra Created: May 2000.
Contains:
Settings: Hint settings can be added to user settings page by copying the code within hintlaunchsetting(superdoc). Allows for turning on/off the hint, changing the link from the title (i.e.: What is a node) to a "?", and allows user to set whether the hint is loaded into a new (sized) popup window, or in the same browser window. default: hints on, title as link, loaded into new window. Hint charactoristics: Each hint contains a height, width, an explains_node ID (the nodeID of the node which the hint explains), as well as the actual hint text. The height and width are used when launching a new window to correctly size the new window to the hint's text. The explains_node ID is used to find the proper hint node for a particular node. This ID is also used by the hint nodelet to determin if a hint exists for the node currently on screen.
