If you're level 6 or higher check out How to use the Moderation System to figure out what that extra stuff at the bottom of your screen is all about

I almost never visit the section pages, since I start all my browsing from the Newest Nodes page. So I think one or more of the following would be nice:
    • A note next to the section name in Newest Nodes that says something like "this section has unmoderated nodes" so that I can know to go in and check them.
    • A marker next to yet-unmoderated nodes in Newest Nodes that says something like "this question/post has not been moderated yet".
    • The ability to moderate a node from its own page. This is, when I visit a node, if it hasn't been moderated, add the checkboxes to its title or something like that. This could be combined with the previous item so that we can identify unmoderated nodes from Newest Nodes, go in and check them out.
    • A separate section in Newest Nodes called "Unmoderated nodes" or somesuch. This section could either contain the full posts (as they appear now at the bottom of each section, plus an indication of which section each one belongs to) with the checkboxes to moderate them, or links to each node, with the ability to moderate from the node's page as described in the previous item.
I know. This is just me being lazy. I can easily check on each section's page every once in a while. But it would be nice :-)

Thanks again vroom for this site. It's great.

if i decide to 'OK' a node, but not add it to the front page, can another monk with moderation ability put it on the front page later, or is there just one shot for one moderator?
Right now it's a one shot deal but I should probably add a moderation nodelet so you could go to a node and add or remove the link which allows the node to be viewed on the frontpage or section page.
