in thread Best X-delimited format?

That probably depends on the nature of the data that you plan to delimit. I find that when I'm delimiting numbers that have decimals or commas, a decimal or comma delimiter tends to get really confusing :^). The same goes for delimiting strings with any common punctuation...I tend to use Text::ParseWords and don't run into much trouble. Jason

[choroba]: What is infobot
[choroba]: infobot is an irc bot that "learns" by remembering sentences of the form "X is Y" and then replying to "What is X" with "X is Y"
[choroba]: it works!

[Corion]: And yes, at least the basic implementation is to strip off some prepositions ("the", "a", "an") from the term with regular expressions and then do a regex match ;-)
