My first step would be to check out the wonderful Tutorials Section on this site. In this section you will find a good bit of info that should get you started.. If I'm not mistaken, you can also view man pages on OS X by opening a Terminal Window and typing: or: Which is the same doc. :-) -- Can't never could do anything, so give me and inch, I'll make it a mile.
