Nah, if it's something less than Perl, it'd have to be decremented as a string, which leaves us with Perk, with vague
connotations of Java-like restrictions.
On the other hand, if you increment Perl, you get things like Perm, Pern, Pero, Perp, Perq, Perr, Pers, Pert, Peru, Perv, Perw, Perx, Pery, Perz, many of which have interesting associations...
