Eh. Pointless worries, if you ask me. Consider the way a Perl 4 programmer might have thought of the new doodads - my? References?? Modules??? Objects?!?!? Well, have they made Perl 5 a feature laden monstrosity? Uh, hardly.. Makeshifts last the longest.
