Gorby,

You will find that this question is one of the more common ones. As windows does not ship with all the correct bits that you would expect in a proper operating system, you are forced to rely on the good nature of other Windows users to compile and link code for you.

    Can't add it myself now (too much work on my desk), but I think this question (Windows PPM and how to deal with Windows CPAN) needs to go to Categorized Q&A so we don't have to respond to it in full every time. I'll gladly contribute my share if someone will start the topic.

[Corion]: Oh yay. Thanks to The New Firefox, my irc client ChatZilla doesn't work anymore either... So I'll have to keep an old FF around just for that...
[Corion]: 100% of my FF add-ons are unsupported currently. Maybe upgrading Firefox wasn't such a good idea after all ;)
[Corion]: Also suffering is my 2-factor Github sign-in, as now, FF can't read my USB token anymore. "This was a horrible idea" is slowly dawning on me ;)
