The first release of version 18 of Perl 5 is getting close. If you plan on migrating to it or have modules on CPAN, now is a good time to test your code against the upcoming version of Perl.

- Download the Release Candidate
- Build it (but don't install it)
- Run your test suite with RC2 of Perl
The release of 5.18.0 is expected to be within the next two weeks.

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
