Hi,
When i do file `which perl` in my production box i get the following
/usr/bin/perl: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, stripped
Similarly when I do locate Oracle.so | xargs file in my production box , i get the following
/opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/10g/perl/lib/site_perl/5.8.3/i686-linux
+-thread-multi/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object
+, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped
Thanks

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
