It would be very handy for the Newest Nodes page to display an extra column giving the approval status, one of: (Unapproved|Approved|Frontpage|Reaped), and an extra marker if considered.

My first thoughts were to make this available to Friars and above, as an aid to the moderation process. But then I realised that this would also be useful to newbies, as it would help them understand the ~~censorship~~approval system, and cut down the volume of inappropriate and rubbish postings to this forum.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
