This might be considered a meditation if you were asking the community
what their thoughts about different installation methods
( Module::Build for example) in CPAN modules. But instead you just
want to rally the troops to try to bash the module author into doing
your way.
Please, gentle monks, let us meditate on this non-trivial question
rather than acting in the manner Randal suggests.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
