Sounds like you are looking for an easy DBI tool. Class::DBI is an object/relational mapper, intended to let you manipulate your data as objects. It is not as simple as other tools that are just trying to give you DBI shortcuts.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
