Even with a modem, I don't see any real advantage of the usenet to the web forum. It does not seem to be faster. And either you have to install extra program, or use MS crap program reader, or go over an web interface, but then you can already stay with websites like these. Icons and stuff come from the browser cache anyways.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
