Dear all, I must be missing something obvious, but I don't understand why perl -e 'if ("h@" =~ /(\@)/ ) { print $1 }'prints the at-sign, but perl -e 'if ("h@t" =~ /(\@)/ ) { print $1 }'doesn't.
