Yeah - I realized that I'd left that out and tried to add it with an update. Twice. It didn't work. Hopefully, this reply will get posted, though. :)
Just in case, it does, here's what I was trying to add/substitute:
# The right way to build a package; this will automatically add a vers
+ion number
# by reading $VERSION inside your .pm file as well as create a META.ym
+l index
perl Makefile.PL; make test; make dist
# The fallback method, just in case; no META.yml, and you'll have to a
+ppend the version
tar cvzf Amazing-Perl-Extension-0.01.tgz Amazing-Perl-Extension

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
