( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
So I'm writing here after seeing three not so lovely new posts in the Meditations section by our new troll in residence. It's just engaging enough to trick our normally competent Monks into feeding it more attention. Yeah chromatic and jdporter, I'm definitely looking at you two right now. And Anonymous Monk of course. My eyes are darting to each and every one of you! (^_^)

So, I'd like to mention, yet again, the wisest of all advice for dealing with our new refuse ingesting, fly infested, wallowing in its own waste, "guardian" of the bridge.

Do Not Feed the Trolls!!!

And for good measure: Blocking users. And an additional recommendation-- downvote everyone who feeds the troll attention. Even responses to what appear to be reasonable sounding posts. Because they're not. They're just a way to lure victims in. And everyone should see that by now.

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Yes, even the troll -- because it doesn't get any better than good deeds happening to evil creatures! (^_^)

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
