Or perl itself for that matter. On my machine it takes only a few minutes to build the Perl interpreter, but at least 20 minutes to run the tests.

XML::Simpler does not require XML::Parser or a SAX parser. It does require File::Slurp. -- grantm, perldoc XML::Simpler

It once took me two days to run configure for Perl, 10 minutes to compile, and another day for the tests. :-) ------ We are the carpenters and bricklayers of the Information Age.
