1-liner to "watch" the shuttle land:
perl -MLWP::Simple -e "$|=1;while(1){$_=get('http://www.nasa.gov/missi
+on_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts117/launch/index_Landing-blog.htm
+l');/-->\s(\d\d?:\d\d[^<]+)/;if($1ne$x){$x=$1;print $x,$/,$/};s
leep 15}"
What shortcuts can I use for linking to other information?
My favorite FireFox extensions:
- Firebug - all-powerful web debugging tool
- Tricky Frames - splits the browser window into two frames to view different sites side by side, or really top and bottom but very handy sometimes (only for FFv1.5 so far but that's what I keep on my USB stick anyway)
- Download Statusbar - much better than the default way to watch downloads
- Resizable form fields - great for sites which give stupidly small edit fields
- NoScript - ban, permit or temporarily permit javascript on a site-by-site basis
- Tab Mix Plus - better than the built-in tab controls in FFv2, and includes session management
