I know this is a bit late for this node. I was just going thru some of your nodes and this one seemed to be interesting...

Anyway, have you read Dan Brown's Digital Fortress? That was one of my recent reads and it was a wonderful experience.. The reason i mention the book, is because it is full of Encryption Algorithms (including some of his other books) ... the characters are people from Crypto!..

One the whole, a great read.. both your's above as well as the book.

[ambrus]: So that, or if you really want something agnostic to the loop, then use curl multi. Its interface is quite reasonable (unless you use an old version),
[ambrus]: though it's very C-like (serious use of varargs so easy to pass the wrong type), and there are some minor problems (busy loop because it doesn't use the same timer as your event loop, so you have to artificially delay timer callbacks by a small amount).
