I understand what you are saying, and I don't mean any disrespect to chiburashka. I just hope that through gently persuasion that W can calm down and do the same (as he seems to be doing?). I believe that he has a lot to contribute, I'm sure a whole lot more than I do to this page. I wish people only the best of luck at the Monestary.

I agree with W about him getting flamed for no reason. He seems to get his undue share. I give him credit for sticking in there, though. I guess time will tell.

Now, you can flame me for my lack of spelling skills if you want to, just don't call me late for dinner!

Update: PS: I just looked at chiburashka's graph, and you are right. Making really good progress. I didn't see where his upward climb started from, but it must have been really sub-basement!!

Update 2: Checked Flux8 out and it's a nice web site. I'm not a html genius or anything, but I didn't see much in the meta portion of his page. Might this be a reason he isn't getting to many hits? I thought that the meta portion was where search engines looked for matches to things. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Tchuse! (and socks, too!)

Sorry to disappoint you, but my active days as a Perl monk are essentially over. I've deleted some scripts that I've posted (most of you won't find that so bad), and I don't intend to contribute anything more. A fraction of you are decent monks, but the majority of you suck.
Lies!!! You continue to post replies

Sorry that you feel that way. You will be missed, if for nothing more than comedic relief! Have a good one, and hope that you find your way back here sometime in the future.

[MidLifeXis]: (5.22 at that time)
[MidLifeXis]: Yeah, I know, really helpful :-)
[Corion]: If all else fails, Spreadsheet::XLSX should be "installable" by manually copying the files, provided that the prerequisites are met
[thezip]: It fails in the "formatted 2-digit numeric" tests
[thezip]: Okay Corion, that's what I wanted to hear. Thanks!
[Corion]: Oh, a test failure... Just force-install it then? --force and potentially --notest to skip the tests alltogether ?
[ambrus]: thezip: is Activestate Perl usable for your scenario instead?
[MidLifeXis]: Yeah, --notest is good, not sure I would do --force.
[thezip]: It fails 2/10 tests in that group. What are the ramifications if I force it? What should I look for for?
[thezip]: I've migrated from ActiveState to Strawberry. No going back...
