Ehi, we need a motto... ;-) Why we don't do a poll about? I've an idea:

PerlMonks: 'cause our kung-fu is stronger

We do? We seem to have gotten along well enough without one until now? A little more seriously (but only a little), notice the quips above the search box? Some of those are PM mottos, like "Just another perl shrine". (You may need to turn them on in your user settings.)

PerlMonks: Because there weren't enough expansions of "PM".

PerlMonks: Because we wanted to use the letters "k" through "s" but we figured it was okay to swap "e" for "q" since we didn't have a "u".

PerlMonks: It takes just a moment to join, a lifetime to forget.

Programming, web publishing, usenet, IRC, or RPG? Why choose? PerlMonks.

PerlMonks: Half-a-million nodes can't be wrong!

PerlMonks: With that many user settings it's got to be good.

PerlMonks: Hurry! Before all the good names are taken!

    How about:

"PerlMonks: Come for the wisdom, stay for the wine."

I personaly like "PerlMonks: You'll never meet a nicer bunch of raving lunatics."

I don't know... the idea of a single quote that sums up this group seem contrary to the nature of Perl: TMTOWTDI, after all...

    Trek

How about, "Theres More Than One Way To Post Things"

    Paraphrasing my sig...

Perl Monks: The users code is made of.
It reads a bit ambiguous, and a bit obfuscatory. Those in the club know what it means, and those not in the club will scratch their heads.

Quantum Mechanics: The dreams stuff is made of

I thought that was Soylent Monks' motto...

No, no, that's "Perl is Monks!"
