*sigh* How does this question even remotely apply to the practice of Perl programming? The same questions that you pose would apply if you contracted for any other job in any other industry. Porn is no different. "If I work for company X which does job Y, will people who disapprove of Y disapprove of me? Will their competitors hate me? Will it hurt my job prospects? Will people still like me, if company Y is unpopular? What will my resume look like?!!!" The answer to all these questions is usually: "it depends on who you ask". As for how you predict those viewpoints in advance in such a way as to maximize employability and personal profit, this is a problem in socio-economics, not programming. It's a great way to start a flame war, though. *sigh*
