And for our x?emacs friends, to bind the .t extension to the cperl mode, you can do this

(setq auto-mode-alist (append '(("\\.t$" . cperl-mode)) auto-mode-alis +t)) is better to be approximately right than precisely wrong. - Warren Buffet
