in reply to Useless/Interesting Error Messages

I'm guilty of that one. I often have something like this:
if ($x == 1) { # do something } elsif ($x == 2) { # do something else } else { confess "should't be here!" }

The idea is that I'm assuming that the subroutine got called with the right $x, but I leave that exception just in case.

    reminds me of some of my code :
    else { # we should extract the data to some temporary space # and migrate it as we can # for now we just fail gracefully... :( &ExitOnError( $WarningMes.="[$$] FATAL : can't migrate (missing featur +e!\n", $rows{JOBID}); }
    Yeah, some day I'll have to write that missing part ;)

[marto]: I guess most cities have areas similar to this, I tend not to mind personally, but would not go out of my way to head down that way
[marto]: it'll probably be fine.
[marto]: LanX: I appreciate that, it's honestly a difficult thing, a fine balance
[marto]: I'm sure it'll be fun :)
[marto]: of course I can take you to some of the best/worst bars in Glasgow ;)
[LanX]: is Glasgow that city where catholics and protestants fight in bars? ; )
[marto]: not really, but pick your side, we'll visit some real dumps
