For a cute marsupial that can chomp your leg off, I suggest the koaladile, which, curiously, already has a strong Perl connection (more than half of google hits for "koaladile" also mention Perl). I blame Schwern for proposing a new perl-qa slogan: "Koaladile is for Kwalitee" (Kah-wah-lah-dile is for Kah-wal-i-tee).
