I wonder which Monks have something on CPAN?

Could they please raise their hands!?!

Just curious, that's all ;-)

I wish I could get my CPAN ID changed to "JAPHY", but apparently it's not a simple task. It remains PINYAN.

apparently it's not a simple task

Come now, sir, where's your sense of adventure? Register the JAPHY pauseid (it's free, I just checked), and transfer ownership of all PINYAN's modules to JAPHY!

I'm RKINYON on CPAN and JSAN

    My criteria for good software:
    1. Does it work?
    2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?

I recommend linking to your CPAN directory from your home node.

By an interesting coincidence, there's a jgamble on CPAN too. Of course, I'm more of a lurker here.

Re: CPAN Authors - Which Monks are you? (table)
by toolic (Chancellor) on Apr 22, 2011 at 14:03 UTC
Update: Nevermind. The strong negative response by a monk has led me to conclude that neither is it practical nor is it worth the trouble to maintain this table.

This is a collection of the monks who responded in this thread. I took the liberty of adding a few more, based on

They are sorted by monk name.

    Table removed.

    I am GSULLIVAN on CPAN.

I hadn't replied to this thread. I mentioned no modules in the poll you referenced. I don't see any mention of my authorship of CPAN modules on my homenode nor anywhere in Saints in our book.

Perhaps all of these facts are not a coincidence? I see no /msg nor e-mail from you asking if I would mind. In any case, you don't appear to have waited for a response.

I don't care to be listed in your table. I would appreciate it if you would remove me from your node and then try to be more polite in future.

      - tye

I would appreciate it if you would remove me from your node
        Done.
