in reply to Right tool for the job?
I'm tempted to throw out the metric that... Whatever programming language can accomplish your job in the least amount of code... Would be the one to choose. With "least amount of code" as a factor in being the most productive...
(I wish I thought this out better... No wonder I don't post many write-ups...)
