supressing console with perl2exe and backticks

Description:

Just thought I would post this, since it took me a while to figure out. I wanted to use perl2exe to create a perl windows exe that I could drag files onto. That's simple enough. Then I wanted to use perl/tk for the gui, and turn off the console. again, this is easy with the "-gui" option to perl2exe.

But then I wanted to use backticks to run a command and NOT have it show up a seperate window each time I ran a command (in this case metaflac.exe).

I finally found the answer here:

[stevieb]: found a issue in MetaCPAN::Client though today for my revdep tests. At least I think it's an issue
[stevieb]: I'm working on hiding the fact the software needs MetaCPAN::Client, as I often have a hell of a time installing it. I'm going to change it to let the user know if they do revdep that it needs to be installed, and remove that distribution ..
