FAQ node.

Having chilled at the monastery for a while now I am seeing the same nodes come up again and again. Now this is mainly because newbies dont know about super search and the basic search engine is quite weak. So hows about getting the supersearch a link on the main page? In addition hows about setting up a page (poss in the library) of reference nodes. Nodes that provide particulary good answers, or answers to common questions. Our respected monks could then file a node into this library for newbies (and not so new(bies)) 1 to examine later.
1 Is this a trait restricted to CS ppl? Requiring that brackets be correctly matched in english.

    Do you mean like the link in the leftovers nodelet?

    ALL HAIL BRAK!!!

      Mayhaps it could be made more prominenter, tho?

      What leftovers node? I just searched for it and got a node I dont have access too.

        nodeLET. It is on the right-hand side of your browser window (for most browsers). Most (all?) nodelets have a node that defines them but you can't access that node (even though you can see most nodelets) unless you are one of the gods.

      i think this is a really strong idea... i could have used something of this sort when i first joined, and in fact, still could...

      having a helpful "user manual" to PM as well as a jump on nodes that could be useful to the new PM, could save many -- votes and hours of embarrassment and frustration... plus having a plethora of PMs who know how to get the most from PM would, de facto, raise the base level of what was being discussed on nodes and elsewhere...

      ++, footpad...

      THANK YOU footpad!!!! This node just became the first node to be added to my personal nodelet.

      puts chalk away and walks away from the board, eager to study again
