I don't know if monks are hybernating, but castaway tells me perlmonks is discouraging google from indexing the site. I guess PM has its reasons, but getting indexing back up would certainly be an easy way to get more traffic, and not just noobie traffic I would speculate. Concrete example: http://www.google.de/search?hl=en&q=%22running+a+ppm+batch%22&btnG=Google+Search doesn't pull up http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=483851 That killed about half an hour for me. Okay, maybe I forgot my coffee this morning, but still. Indexing *matters*. Anything we could do about this?
