There are rather a lot of Excel modules out there. Perhaps you could tell us which one you are using.

Update: OK, stumbling around the monastery, I found your other post, so I assume you are using Win32::OLE. However, it is still a good idea to be a little more explicit in your postings, especially if you don't link to related postings, which, in my opinion, you should.
