Where should that course be? If I recall correctly Lodon.pm organized some courses the other day, but that doesn't help you if you aren't in the UK ;-).
BTW there is no PERL unless you use Inline::PERL, the interpreter is named perl (all lower case), the language Perl (just the first letter upper case). | [reply] |
Perlmonks is an international site, and we can't guess which country you are in, or which you can travel to. I work as a Perl instructor for a training company, as do many other monks, but it would be a sin to advertise here. Tried Google?
Perl certification is a sore point - most of the community does not want it. Perl is a vast subject and possibly pointless to learn more than you need to get your job done. Opinions vary. | [reply] |
You really do not want to go down the certification road. That invites corporate sponsorship. As Larry Wall said somewhere, and I'm probably about to butcher the quote, if the program does the job, then it's correct. Make that your professional validation.

Check Perl Training Directory
Open source softwares? Share and enjoy. Make profit from them if you can. Yet, share and enjoy!

My own limited experience of Perl courses through a University led me to Perl Monks.
I came here looking for answers to questions that I wasn’t getting there, (and I got them in abundance).
The quality of tutorials and the all round knowledge that you will find here are second to none. I think that if you stick around here long enough you won't need a structured course, as you'll have a far better / larger resource of knowledge. Stay and learn, ask questions, browse the various sections, a far better way of learning, tailored to suit your own requirements. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
