How To Reset Newest Nodes

Hi Monks,

I haven't been here for a while and my Newest Nodes list was dated like 2005 or something. It took forever to display Newest Nodes (I failed to wait for it to load). I started looking around for a quick solution to reset this list w/o having to load it first and couldn't find where I could do this. I went to my home node and to my user settings and clicked on 'Newest Nodes Settings'. Wow, there it is... just click the button to reset the flag. Took me a while to figure it out.

It really should be very easy to find. I'm used to perlmonks website and still took me a long time to find it after I've been away for a while.

Thanks.

A better idea is for Newest Nodes to check if you haven't visited for more than 14 days, and then offer you a choice.

Along the lines of Anonymonk's suggestion, I'd say nodes over a certain age shouldn't appear in Newest Nodes. This could also be configurable, but with a default and a maximum. I would say 30 days would be a reasonable default (how many people really want to view a whole months worth of new nodes?). Maximum I'd say would be 6 months.

Of course, I realise there might be a fair bit of work involved in the implementation. Just suggesting a possible "ideal solution".

yeah, that would be great. I guess it should be pretty easy to filter out nodes based on age... At least, make a maximum number of nodes to display on Newest Nodes based on number of them or age.
