in thread Output of a command

Actually, what I do for this stuff is set up the following in my .bashrc:

# automatically keep output of commands in a logfile for immediate # subsequent inspection alias ll="$PAGER /tmp/last.log" l () { if [ "x$1" = "x" ] ; then echo "did you mean 'll'?" ; \ else /usr/bin/env " $@" 2>&1 | tee /tmp/last.log ; fi }

l !! and then ll is less mental load for me.

[LanX]: Yeah option a doesn't go into history
[LanX]: probably I need to teach the app to restart after C-c Kill
[Corion]: LanX: Maybe have an infinite-loop cmd file? Much easier than trying to manage that from within Perl IMO
[Corion]: Alternatively, relaunch the application from cron (or a Windows cron) every minute
[LanX]: will try infinite loop ...
[Corion]: :START ... goto START
[LanX]: oh .bat you mean?
[LanX]: obscure cult ...
