Some monks consider it bad style to add separate nodes to individually thank Monks who helped you. You can use a private message to thank them or add a word of thanks in your original node or of course ++ their nodes.

A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout. There should be neither too little or too much, neither needless loops nor useless variables, neither lack of structure nor overwhelming rigidity." - The Tao of Programming, 4.1 - Geoffrey James

I didn't see your "response above" (you may have hyperlinked it for maximum reliability and precision!) so in particular I didn't downvote™ it, but I sometimes/often (depending on a wide variety of parameters) do with posts that just "thank and compliment someone..." if I feel that they do not otherwise increase the signal/noise ratio of a thread. OTOH I much more probably downvote nodes like this one, which whine about nodes being downvoted: most people actually do! To be fair, trust me: we all passed through it. You'll learn not to care! But if you're truly, sincerely, authentically interested to know why a particular node of yours is being downvoted - and it happens to me too after some years up to this day, then I suggest you ask so in a clearly marked up update to the node itself: it has worked for me, sometimes. HTH!

[stevieb]: I finally got all of my tests to run against my App::RPi::EnvUI!! I am so pleased :) Now to add more tests, update the documentation, some code cleanup, put in production in my largest operation, and do a non-beta release
