I didn't see your "response above" (you may have hyperlinked it for maximum reliability and precision!) so in particular I didn't downvote™ it, but I sometimes/often (depending on a wide variety of parameters) do with posts that just "thank and compliment someone..." if I feel that they do not otherwise increase the signal/noise ratio of a thread. OTOH I much more probably downvote nodes like this one, which whine about nodes being downvoted: most people actually do! To be fair, trust me: we all passed through it. You'll learn not to care! But if you're truly, sincerely, authentically interested to know why a particular node of yours is being downvoted - and it happens to me too after some years up to this day, then I suggest you ask so in a clearly marked up update to the node itself: it has worked for me, sometimes. HTH!
