    I think you misunderstood the suggestion; not an individual voting button for each node, but two voting buttons, one at the top of the page and the other at the bottom, either one performing the function of the current voting button.

    If you go to your user settings (from your home node) and change 'Null Vote' to 'On', then you will be able to deselect a vote as you wish.
