It's all fair advice, but why wouldn't zod want to use glob?
I've no idea why zod wouldn't want to; I just offered him a way to do so without using glob.

I was hoping for a little more, but it looks like tirwhan answered my question at Re^2: Limiting a glob.
Use two parentheses: (Like this: :) )
Use one parenthesis: (Like this: :)
Reverse direction of the smiley: (Like this: (: )
Use angle/square brackets instead of parentheses
Use C-style commenting to set the smiley off from the closing parenthesis
Make the smiley a dunce: (:>
