in reply to HTTP::Request and keep alive

I can't seem to find any sane way of using HTTP::Request to send multiple requests to web server.

HTTP::Request doesn't send any requests.

Perhaps you mean LWP::UserAgent. Neither its interface nor its implementation allows this.

    In theory, there is the keep_alive option that sets up an LWP::ConnCache object, which should handle reusing connections.  OTOH, LWP::ConnCache is documented as 'experimental', and has quite a number of open bugs, so I'm not sure how stable it is...

      LWP::ConnCache has been 'experimental' since 2001, but it hasn't changed... no "active bugs" mention conncache or keep alive
