Struggling for puzzles and projects?

by larsen (Parson)
on May 16, 2001 at 16:40 UTC ( #80870=perlmeditation: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

For those that are struggling for puzzles, projects ideas and, generally, things to do with Perl, I provide this link.

So, what's HAKMEM?

Work reported herein was conducted at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology research program supported in part by the Advanced Research Projects Agency of the Department of Defense and monitored by the Office of Naval Research under Contract Number N00014-70-A-0362-0002.
I suggest digging in the stuff provided: I bet you'll find something interesting for you. Problems vary from Number Theory, Primes, Probability to Proposed Computer Programs (such as Solve Go :))

Damn. It was like you were reading my mind or something.

I was sitting at my desk this morning ticked off that I had to wait for some lackey somewhere to re-run data that was supposed to be checked 'BEFORE' it came to me for PerlMagic(tm), and I stated out loud..

"I need small projects to keep me busy"

I reached out and got my "Data Abstraction and Problem Solving with C++" book down and decided to tackle the problems in it with Perl.

but this is even better. Thanks.

[choroba]: erix: I'm proud to be from a nation that also does one thing well
[LanX]: ah yes! And he called her Kit and she could talk while a light was going from her left to right eye and back...
[erix]: choroba: pretty impressive! :)
LanX imagines which nations would be dominating if the winter olympics were invented in East Asia
[LanX]: Corion: and that's the clue how Germany can dominate Handball tournaments, just continuing the domestic league and forbidding the best players of the world to attend :)
LanX (which would be a good scheme for England and football too)
[LanX]: If "Canada will play the Czech Republic for bronze on Saturday", that means Germany will play Syria in disguise...
