in reply to On Voting

I tend to spend 0-3 votes daily excluding what I consider to be 'administrative downvotes' (downvotes to remove trolls or blank posts) and I've never felt that a node I've upvoted had too high a reputation.

If you find yourself thinking that some nodes are good, but not that good, you might want to consider reducing the amount of votes you spend. Vote only on the nodes that you consider wonderful. If there's a post that has a higher reputation than you think it deserves, it won't matter, because you won't be able to see its reputation.

I'm not suggesting this as a solution for everyone. If you are happy with your voting and how it works for you, you should certainly disregard this suggestion. But if you find yourself thinking posts are overvalued, this offers a way to have your vote counted the way you want it to be, without putting any requirements on how other people vote.
