Thank you for your comment ... I can understand the point you are making, and it does seem to make sense. However, I was thinking that in the future, I (or someone) could write additional modules for AIX, along the lines of "AIX::DiskInfo", or "AIX::ODM", and so on. The issue you bring up is certainly valid, and I'd like to see discussion there. thanks, -s-
