Did I write that you are the only person on this site who behaves rudely? No, but even if I had, "But he was mean to me first!" is an excuse I don't accept from mature adults who really ought to behave better.

Meanwhile, I don't see you popping up into threads defending me against unfounded accusations from the other party in the thread you cited.

Nor do I see you using his name as a crude diversionary tactic to cover up your own assumptive knee-jerk misconclusions.

• you're the ultimate arbiter of good manners?
• you're He who must be obeyed?
• you're not exhibiting exactly the same propensity as the third party when called out on your own error, to try and divert attention from by any means fair or foul.

Rudeness is not confined to the use of certain words people choose to take offence at. Intent is everything. And by bringing my name into this thread, it was your intent, to divert from your own mistakes. And that is rude.

Nope; my post explains the assumption I made and my mistake, and I'm leaving it saying so. Yet everyone's more than welcome to follow the link I provided and read the entire thread. Every reasonable and responsible person can come to his or her own conclusion as to the accuracy of what I wrote.
