A few years ago I wrote a simple web service that highlights and/or tidies code blocks on PerlMonks by using Perl::Tidy and a Greasemonkey userscript for AJAX: http://juster.us/perl/pmtidy/

Over the years I have come to like syntax highlighting less and less but the tidying comes in really handy for some posts.
