Ah I see. So even if the script runs with "CGI::Fast", it doesn't mean that mod_fastcgi is installed?

Is there a variable from CGI::Fast that one can use for testing the presence or absence of the engine?

Honestly, I do not know. I do not have a mod_fastcgi enabled Apache server running here now. Try your friendly sysadmin. CountZero A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout.
